What exactly is Sportsbook software? What is it's purpose/advantage? Where does one go to get it? And finally... any suggestions on the best? Thanks to all

Ok thanks for clearing that up I saw a thread about people asking which book had the best software and another thread talking about the winning percentage of their software and I was just wondering if I am missing out on something.
